This week we’re using the PRAISE framework as a launch point to connect with God and worship him.
A tip of the hat to Darlene Fray for developing this framework and teaching it to our worship team.
=======
P – Proclaim (declare) truth
R – Renew our Mind, Refresh our Soul
A – Adoration

Today we’re looking at the letter P in the word Praise, and the P stands for Proclaim the Truth.
In the framework our first step is to remind ourselves of The Five W’s and an H.
Who is God? Scripture tell us many things, including that he is the God Who Does Great Things. This is the God who forgives, heals, redeems, crowns, satisfies, and renews!
He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
Psalms 103:3-5 NLT
What does God do? As an example he shows us kindness, care, and compassion:
The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever.
Psalms 103:3-5 NLT
Why can we count on God? He is trustworthy!
No, I will not break my covenant (says the Lord); I will not take back a single word I said.
Psalms 89:34 NLT
Where is God? He is always with us!
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Isaiah 41:10 NLT
When is God faithful? He is everlastingly faithful!
If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.
2 Timothy 2:13 NLT
How does God see me? As chosen and called by God to bear fruit.
You are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
1 Peter 2:9 NLT
You and I both know this barely begins to scratch the surface of the Truth of God. There’s so much more we could lean in to.
Proclaiming the Truth—declaring the attributes of God—is a starting place to PRAISE God.
That’s worship.
