I am so excited for you! You have conquered this day already. You have begun the day with victories.
All you know how to do is WIN! You have Tiger’s Blood in your veins!
Oops, I think I started to channel Charlie Sheen there. Sorry.
You’ve begun the day in the driver’s seat. You are not at the mercy of Mark Zuckerberg or anyone else. You are intentionally in step with the Creator of the Universe.
In short, you are ready. So let’s fuel this machine and make a difference.
Fuel Your Day With Gratitude.
Colossians 2:7 (NLT) Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
Gratefulness is a gamechanger. 10 minutes of gratitude can completely reset a bad day. A 3o minute “gratitude” walk can reverse a lot of bad news and bad feelings.
So fuel your morning with thankfulness. Get a notepad or buy a notebook just for the good stuff.
My wife has a blessing journal. Every day she starts her morning devotions by handwriting the blessings of the last day.
So, if you want to improve your outlook on today, start the day writing down your blessings.
This is a great way to be obedient to God, who tells us to give thanks in everything (1 Thessalonians 5:17). It’s also a way to step into God’s view of the world.
Do you think God looks at the world with anxiety and fear? No way. God loves being God. And, He loves providing for you! (Matthew 6:30)
You have so many blessings. Take a minute or ten and write a few of them down.
Even if… especially if… you are facing difficult circumstances.
Your enemy, the Accuser, wants you blinded by your difficulties. He wants you to believe things will never get better. He wants you to doubt God.
So… Remember! Remind yourself of the goodness of God. Don’t allow any problem to grow so large in your estimation that you can’t get past it.
Fuel your day with Gratitude. Write it down. And, when you have a truly terrible day, you will have a record of all the blessings that have sustained you in the past.
Fuel Your Day With Intent.
Proverbs 21:5 (NLT) Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.
What does God want to do today? What do you want to do today? This week? This Year?
Start writing that stuff down too. Even if there is no possible way it could happen today?
Why?
Writing things down programs them into your heart. It also helps your find language for your hopes and dreams. When we are able to give words to our dreams, we are more able to work toward them. We are better able to talk to God about them.
This little practice will also help you to have hope for the future. If you don’t have hope for the future you will dwell in the past. When you dwell in the past, the worst parts of your history tend to define you. And, that should not be so for a Jesus follower.
You are defined by Christ’s sacrifice and God’s Word. Your mistakes have no place in your identity or your future.
So, get some “God” dreams, and go after them. Grow into the kind of person who is able to responsibly enjoy and steward your hopes and dreams.
Fuel Your Day With FOOD!
1 Corinthians 10:31 (NLT) So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Okay, now, it’s time for Breakfast. You should probably go for something that will fuel you and not drain you.
There you go. You have all the pieces necessary to LAUNCH a fantastic day. You decide how to use them just use them.
Now What?
Go Get ‘em! You are a God-empowered, Jesus Following, double threat to the world. And, you are ready to face whatever comes.
Congratulations! You look like an overcomer to me!
Victory!
Micheal
