As a person learns the truth that God declares about them and leans into that truth by faith, they demonstrate the work and victory of the Spirit in their lives.
It DOES matter what we believe and no amount of good deeds or sincerity will take the place of walking through life with Jesus.
Until you see the seriousness of your own sin, you won’t know that you need a savior. But we have a savior – Jesus – who gives us power and freedom over sin.
God will give us more than we can handle. Count on it. But He does this so that we will know Him better and more deeply rely on His power.
God’s desire is to make us holy, not just temporarily happy.
We are not orphans. We are sons and daughters of the Most High God. As we learn to believe it, we will grow in our experience of it.
We can certainly do nothing and just keep surviving until we die. Or, we could learn what it means to truly live.
Jesus bore the penalty of sin and dying in our place. God made you alive with Christ.
We have no glory of our own. We have no power of our own. The more we lay claim to our own glory and power the more we fail. But, when we invest our lives in His glory, we begin to overcome.
King Nebuchadnezzar would learn a lot from conquered Israel. He would learn that there was a true God over the world and that God was far larger than any earthly government.
